I didn't receive my booking confirmation email — what should I do?Check spam first, then sign in at My Trips with your booking email — a booking listed there is confirmed.
I'm arriving late at night — will the hotel hold my room?Yes — prepaid rooms are held all night and most Dubai receptions run 24 hours; still, tell the hotel your arrival time.
What time is check-in and check-out at Dubai hotels?Most Dubai hotels check you in from 2-3 PM and check you out by 11 AM-12 PM; exact times are on your confirmation.
When is peak season for Dubai hotels and when should I book?Peak runs October-April with spikes around New Year; summer brings the lowest rates — book winter early, summer late.
Can I check in early or check out late?Both are granted by the hotel on availability — request ahead, and book the previous night if you need a guarantee.
Do Dubai hotels take a security deposit at check-in?Most hotels place a temporary card hold of roughly AED 500-1,500 at check-in; it is released after checkout.
What should I do if the hotel can't find my booking?Show your confirmation and booking reference at the desk; if it still can't be found, contact support immediately.
How old do you have to be to check into a hotel in Dubai?The lead guest generally needs to be 18+, though some properties still set their own 21+ house rule.
What is it like staying in a Dubai hotel during Ramadan?Hotels run normally through Ramadan — pools, spas and dining stay open, evenings come alive with iftar, and rates are often lower.
How do I cancel my hotel booking and get a refund?Cancel from My Trips before your rate's free-cancellation deadline and the full amount returns to your card in 5–10 business days.
What taxes and fees are included in my Dubai hotel price?Your online total includes 5% VAT, a 7% municipality fee and a 10% service charge — only the Tourism Dirham is paid at the hotel.
How do I get an extra bed or baby cot in my hotel room?Request it at booking and reconfirm with the hotel — cots are usually free, extra beds around AED 100-200 a night.
What happens if I don't show up for my hotel booking?A no-show usually forfeits the prepaid amount, and the hotel releases remaining nights the next morning.
Do children stay free in Dubai hotels?Under-12s often stay free in existing beds; 12+ are usually charged as adults — cut-offs vary by hotel.
What is the Tourism Dirham fee in Dubai?Dubai's official per-room, per-night hotel fee — roughly AED 7–20 by star rating, paid directly at the property.
Can I get a refund on a non-refundable hotel booking?As a rule, no — but in genuine emergencies we can ask the hotel for a goodwill waiver or date change.

Do I pay for my hotel online now or at the hotel?You pay online in full at booking; the hotel only takes local extras like the Tourism Dirham and a deposit hold.
Can I book a hotel room for someone else?Yes — pay with your card and put the traveller's name as the guest; their ID must match the booking at check-in.
What documents do I need to check in to a hotel in Dubai?Tourists need an original passport; residents use Emirates ID, GCC nationals a GCC ID — plus a card for the deposit.
When is my card charged for a hotel booking?At the moment you confirm — hotel bookings are paid online at booking time through our partner's secure payment processor.
Can I change the dates of my hotel booking?Flexible rates: cancel before the deadline and rebook. Non-refundable rates: changes only at the hotel's discretion via support.
