Do I pay for my hotel online now or at the hotel?

On our site, hotel bookings are paid online in full at booking time โ€” your card is charged by our booking partner's secure payment processor when you confirm. At the hotel itself you only pay local extras: the Tourism Dirham fee, any incidentals like minibar or room service, and a temporary security-deposit hold that is released after checkout.

What is charged online at confirmation

The total shown at checkout โ€” room rate plus taxes โ€” is collected immediately in AED the moment you confirm. There is no pay-later or pay-on-arrival option for the room itself, and the hotel will not ask you to pay the rate again.

What you still pay at the property

  • Tourism Dirham fee โ€” Dubai's per-room, per-night fee, always settled directly with the hotel.
  • Incidentals โ€” minibar, room service, parking and similar extras you choose during the stay.
  • Security deposit โ€” a temporary card hold at check-in, released after checkout.

Why prepaid online rates are often cheaper

Hotels price prepaid rates keenly because the booking is committed โ€” that is why the online price frequently beats walk-in and pay-later rates for the same room. You also arrive with the big number already settled, which makes check-in faster.

Refundable rates still charge now

A free-cancellation rate does not mean pay later: you are charged at booking either way. Cancelling before the deadline simply returns the money to your original card. Your payment record lives in your confirmation email and on your booking in My Trips.
