Your card is charged at the moment you confirm your booking — hotel bookings on our site are paid online at booking time through our booking partner's secure payment processor. You will not be asked to pay the room rate again at the hotel; only extras such as the Tourism Dirham fee, incidentals or a refundable security deposit are handled at the property.
What happens when you click confirm
The full amount shown at checkout is collected immediately in AED, and the charge appears on your statement shortly after. Your confirmation email and your bookings page in My Trips both show exactly what was paid.
What you may still pay at the property
- Tourism Dirham fee — Dubai's per-room, per-night fee, always settled directly with the hotel.
- Incidentals — minibar, room service, parking and similar extras.
- Security deposit — many hotels take a refundable card hold at check-in for incidentals.
Refundable rates still charge now
A free-cancellation rate doesn't mean pay later. You are charged at booking either way — the difference is that cancelling before the rate's deadline returns the full amount to your original card, typically within 5–10 business days. Non-refundable rates trade that flexibility for a lower price.
Seeing it on your statement
