Can I book a hotel room for someone else?

Yes โ€” pay with your own card and enter the traveller's name as the guest at checkout. The person checking in must show ID matching the guest name on the booking; since the stay is prepaid online, they will only need their own card or cash at the hotel for the security deposit and Tourism Dirham.

How to set it up at checkout

Book as normal with your own email and card, but type the traveller's full name โ€” exactly as it appears on their passport or ID โ€” in the guest name field. The payer and the guest do not have to be the same person, and this is a completely normal way to book for family, friends or colleagues.

The guest's ID must match

Dubai hotels scan ID at every check-in, and the name on that ID must match the reservation. A spelling mismatch is the most common reason a hotel hesitates at the desk, so double-check the name before you pay. If you spot an error after booking, contact support and we will ask the hotel to correct it.

What the guest pays on arrival

Nothing for the room โ€” it is prepaid. The guest only handles the property-side items: the Tourism Dirham fee and the hotel's refundable security-deposit hold, using their own card or cash.

Who controls the booking

The booking stays attached to the booker: the confirmation email goes to you, and managing or cancelling happens from your My Trips. Any refund returns to the card that paid, not to the guest. Forward the confirmation to the traveller so they have it at the desk.
