This policy explains what personal data DubaiRentals.com collects, why, who it is shared with, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we collect what is needed to run your bookings and account, we share booking details only with the suppliers and processors who fulfil them, we use first-party analytics only, and we never sell personal data.
DubaiRentals.com is operated by Avangate Hospitality Services FZE (registration no. 00190), Al Shmookh Business Center M1003, UAQ Free Trade Zone, PO Box 7072, Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates — the data controller for personal data processed through this platform. We handle personal data in line with UAE data protection law, including the principles of Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
We process personal data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you (running the platform and your bookings); where we have a legitimate interest that does not override your rights (security, fraud prevention, service improvement); where the law requires it (tax and accounting records); and, for optional communications such as service updates or offers, with your consent — which you can withdraw at any time.
We share personal data only where needed to deliver the service you asked for:
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
Card details are collected and processed by the PCI-compliant payment system named or shown at checkout — for hotels, our accommodation booking partner’s payment processor; for marketplace car bookings, our car rental partner’s secure booking engine. Full card numbers never touch our servers and are never stored by us.
Our platform runs on reputable cloud infrastructure providers which may store data outside the UAE. Where personal data crosses borders — to those providers, or to the supplier of a service you booked abroad — we take reasonable steps, including contractual safeguards, to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.
Account data is kept while your account is active. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as UAE commercial, tax and accounting law requires. Support threads are kept while they may be relevant to the booking they concern. Technical telemetry is kept for shorter periods needed for security and analytics. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to certain processing, or withdraw a consent you gave. Contact us through your account or at support@dubairentals.com — we respond within 30 days. Deleting data that the law requires us to keep (for example tax records of a completed booking) may have to wait until the legal retention period ends; we will tell you if that applies.
We use a small set of first-party cookies. There are no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on the platform.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session & sign-in | Keeps you signed in securely after you use an email sign-in link. | Essential | Session / up to 12 months |
| Preferences | Remembers settings you choose, such as your display currency. | Functional | Up to 12 months |
| First-party telemetry | Our own measurement of how the platform is used, to fix and improve it. | Analytics (first-party) | Up to 13 months |
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in and checkout from working.
The platform is not directed at children, and bookings may only be made by adults (18+). Details of child guests or passengers may be included in a booking by the adult making it, and are used only to fulfil that booking.
Data is encrypted in transit, access to systems is restricted and logged, and sign-in is passwordless — so there is no DubaiRentals password to be stolen or reused. Card payments are handled entirely by PCI-compliant partner payment systems. No online service can promise absolute security, but we design for the minimum data, held for the minimum time, with the minimum access.
We update this policy when the platform changes — for example when a new service launches. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be flagged on the platform or by email.
