All bookings on our site are billed in AED (UAE dirhams), the local currency of Dubai, even if you browsed prices in another currency using the display switcher. Your bank converts the AED amount to your home currency at its own exchange rate, which is why the final figure on your statement can differ slightly from the converted estimate you saw on screen.
AED is the billing currency
The currency switcher is there to help you budget — every non-AED price you see is a display-only estimate. When you confirm a booking, the charge itself is always processed in dirhams.
Why the amount differs from the on-screen estimate
Two things sit between our AED charge and your statement: your bank's own exchange rate on the day of processing, and any foreign-transaction fee it applies (commonly 2–3%). Neither is added by us, which is why the landed amount can be slightly above the estimate you saw while browsing.
Matching the charge to your booking
Open My Trips and compare the AED total on your booking with the AED amount your bank converted — they should match exactly. Statement descriptors reference the booking, so the pairing is usually obvious once you look at the dirham figure rather than the converted one.
