Yes — you can change the date, time, pick-up or drop-off location, vehicle and driver name on a car rental booking. Changes are made on the Manage booking page at dubairentals.com/manage, using your booking reference (two letters followed by nine digits, like AE921449070) and the email you booked with. Amendments are accepted up to 48 or 24 hours before pick-up depending on your rate, and the booking is re-priced live — so the price can go down as well as up.
What you can change
- Dates and times — pick-up, drop-off, or both.
- Location — a different pick-up or drop-off branch.
- Vehicle — swap to a different car.
- Driver name — when someone else will be driving.
How to make the change
- Open dubairentals.com/manage on the Cars tab.
- Enter your booking reference and the email you booked with.
- Amend the booking there and confirm the new total.
- Keep the updated confirmation email — it replaces the old one.
Changes are not made in My Trips: the rental is held in our car partner's system, so the manage-booking page is where amendments happen.
The price is live
An amendment re-prices the booking at the rates available today for your new dates, car or location — it is not a swap at your original price. Sometimes that is cheaper, sometimes dearer. The new total is shown before you confirm, so nothing changes until you accept it.
Deadlines and the late-change fee
Changes are accepted up to 48 or 24 hours before pick-up depending on your rate, so check yours before you plan around it. A change made later than that counts as a late amendment and carries a fee of AED 272, on top of any difference in price.
Change or cancel?
